一、教学内容:
译林版小学英语4上 Unit 5 Our new home (story time)
对话大致内容是:苏海和苏阳搬家了,她们在新家里寻找自己的东西。
二、教学目标:
1、能初步感知单词bedroom, living room, table, home, sofa, come, kitchen,并理解单词的意思。
2、能正确地理解并朗读对话内容,在教师的引导和帮助下尝试表演课文。
3、通过在创设的情境中交流,能听、说、读句子:“Where’s/Where are …? It’s/They’re …”并会运用所学句型创编对话。
4、培养学生保持房间整洁的意识。
三、教学重点:

2、通过在创设的情境中交流,能听、说、读句子:“Where’s/Where are …?It’s/They’re …并会运用。

Step 1 Warming up

2. Sing a song: Where’s the bird?
Step 2 Free talk & presentation
T: Where’s the bird?
S: It’s in the tree.
T: Yes, but now it’s not in the tree. Where is it?
S: It’s in a house.
T: Yes. It’s in Su Hai and Su Yang’s new home. Today we’ll learn Unit 5 Our new home. This is Su Hai and Su Yang’s new home, so the bird brings a present for them. Look, where’s the bird?
S: It’s in the living room, on the sofa/ on the table.
Teach: living room, sofa, table.
T: Where is it now?
S: It’s in the bedroom, on the bed.
Teach: bedroom
T: Now where’s the bird?
S: It’s in the kitchen.
Teach: kitchen
Step3. Story time
T: Today Su Hai and Su Yang are moving house. The rooms are untidy. So the bird is flying away. Let’s help them. Say it together: Please put your things in order! Ok! Here we are. Let’s do it.
1. Watch and tick
T: Now let’s watch the cartoon and find out what’s missing.
Watch the cartoon
T: What’s missing?
S: The bag, the skirts and the white cap.
2. Read and find
T: We know the bag, the cap and the skirts are missing. But where are they? Read by yourselves and underline the answers.
T: Where’s the bag?
S: It’s in the bedroom.
T: How do you know?
S: In picture 1.
T: Let’s check. Is it in the bedroom?
S: Yes.
Read together.
T: Then where’re the skirts?
S: They’re in the living room, on the sofa.
T: How do you know?
S: In picture 2.
T: Yes. Who can fill in the blanks?
Mum, where are my skirts? They’re in the living room, on the sofa.
Read after the T.
T: I’m Su Hai. You’re Mum.
T: Where’s the white cap?
S: It’s in the kitchen.
T: Yes or no? Look at this picture. What do Su Hai and Su Yang talking about?
S: Is it in the bedroom? No, it isn’t.
T: The cap isn’t in the bedroom. Where is it?
S: It’s in the kitchen.
Listen and say.
T: Read: Come and look, Su Yang. Your cap is in the kitchen.
Work in pairs. One is Su Hai, one is Su Yang.
3. Read the dialogue
T: Let’s read after the tape. Try to imitate the pronunciation, intonation and stress, and understand their feelings.
Ss read after the tape.
T: Let’s read together.
4. Act it out
T: Look, I’m Su Yang. Who can be Su Hai? Who can be Mum?
T: Now, let’s read in roles, and then you’ll act it out. If you can read correctly, you can get one star. If you can act fluently, you can get two stars. If you can act vividly, you can get three stars.
Work in groups.

T: Look, all the things are in order. So the bird is flying back and gives them the present.

1. Read Story time after the tape.
2. Draw a picture of your home, and try to introduce the places of the things.
